My appearance with Gregory Abdur-Rasheed’s Denver-based radio podcast that streams internationally. We discussed my book, “THE RIGHT THING TO DO, The True Pioneers of College Football Integration in the 1960s.” Chapter 6 is on the 1961 Colorado football team that threatened to boycott the 1962 Orange Bowl in defense of their five Black teammates over Jim Crow in Miami. The Orange Bowl backed down to the Buffaloes could stay together, eat together and travel together.

McNeill was inspired by the coaching career of Jimmy Raye of Fayetteville, NC, to enter the coaching profession.
